The main character is lesbian, she just IS, and it isn’t ever even talked about. It is GREAT.
The movie is focused on her odd family dynamic and the new woman that comes into her their lives.
Evan Rachael Wood is bisexual and she plays the main character.
I consider this a subtle, wholesome, complex lesbian story.
I watched it on repeat when I first found it.
I even emailed the writer & director, Miranda July, and thanked her profusely for giving this delightful story life. I love it.
