Life in Huntington Beach, Los Angeles, an immigrant community where your family is your pack, is a land of dreams for best friends Yolanda (Fenessa Pineda) and Mari (Venecia Troncoso)—two girls who escape the watchful eye of their parents. A situation at school catapults Yolanda and Mari into a blossoming friendship that seems to border something more, while their grades begin to suffer and their families taken even closer notice.
