Encouraging personal growth and inspiration through poetry, affirmations and a daily challenge.
Welcome back Curvettes to the second episode of Curve Connections. In this installment, Curve social media intern Dina F. Gilmore encourages personal exploration and development through inspiration, a social experiment and a transforming challenge to our Curve family.
Gilmore's second episode reveals a social experiment she conducted on Curve's Facebook page. She posted a picture of herself cooking in the kitchen, along with the text, "Taking a poll: Butch in the kitchen, Hot or Not?" Gilmore read many positive, negative and sometimes hateful comments, and addresses in episode two the importance of supporting our Curve community, especially when we already face discrimination outside of our community.
Gilmore wraps up the episode by challenging you to share a genuine smile or compliment daily, for 21 days, and to note the profound shift that simple actions can have both on the people you uplift, as well as yourself.
