We are no longer prepared to tolerate sexism, misogyny or any other form of discrimination” say organisers.
Thousands of people are expected at this Saturday's Women's March on London, to protest the inauguration of Donald Trump.
The march, which takes place the day after the president-elect moves into the White House, will coincide with more than 600 other events planned in 60 countries including New Zealand and Columbia.
Described as an act of solidarity and a stand against "divisive politics", organisers said today: "Enough is enough. On Saturday, we will be sending a strong message to political leaders that we are no longer prepared to tolerate sexism, misogyny or any other form of discrimination. Together, we will make a stand for equality, justice and dignity.
"We want to encourage people to get offline, to come together, to think together, to act together, for the benefit of us all."
The event begins at 12 noon at Grosvenor Square with a short rally, featuring playwright Rebecca Lenkiewicz, student Sekela Ngamilo, Labour MP Stella Creasy and Akeela Ahmed, founder of She Speaks, We Hear, before marching towards Trafalgar Square.
Saudi Toksvig will be MC for a line up which includes Kate Allen, Director of Amnesty International, DIVA columnist Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, comedian Sara Pascoe, Polly Neate from Women's Aid and MP Yvette Cooper.
