The Visibility Fund gives a grant opportunity to filmmakers, writers and editors to show their creativity.
The organization aims to promote positive representation of underrepresented communities in media, especially LGBTQ women. The Fund is granting funds in the following area:
- Writing: Possible grants of $100, $250 or $500
- Production: $1,000, $1,500 or $2,000
- Post-Production: $2,500, $3,000 or $5,000
The grant application for The Visibility Fund closes August 31st.
TVF encourages both novice and experienced filmmakers to apply for grant funding. The application process is designed to showcase each respective project’s alignment with TVF’s mission as well as to outline the filmmaker’s goals, implementation strategy, outcomes, and expected impact.
All applicants complete an online application and submit a variety of supporting materials including a video essay. The video essay is an opportunity for applicants to introduce themselves, describe the project, and explain how it will be successfully completed.
