Jane Hill, Adele Roberts and Fleur East were at the event marking the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act
Stars were out in force last night for Stonewall’s Summer Party at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London.
DIVA columnist and BBC journalist Jane Hill, Radio 1’s Adele Roberts and X Factor star Fleur East were among the 400 guests at the annual fundraising event for the charity, marking the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales – considered by many to be a hugely important milestone on the long road to LGBT equality.
The event, hosted by Dr Ranj Singh, boasted celebrity DJs, signature cocktails created by sponsor Absolut, and a silent auction, and raised more than £60,000, which Stonewall says will be invested in initiatives to secure equality for LGBT people in Britain and abroad.

Ruth Hunt, Chief Executive of Stonewall, said: “The Summer Party is an important time to come together, be visible and to celebrate the lesbian, gay, bi and trans community. However, it’s also a time to reflect on how much work there is still left to do, and remember that we must never be complacent about the progress of LGBT equality.
“This could not come at a more poignant time, as we reflect on what we have achieved over the past 50 years. Our work will not stop until all LGBT people, in Britain and overseas, are accepted without exception.”
