Connie Armstrong wants to help you achieve your fitness goals.
Connie Armstrong, a physical education teacher and high school volleyball coach, is a woman on the move. When she’s not running around the track at work she’s working out near the beach in Florida, teaching her private clients how to live better, healthier lives. We sat down with Connie to chat work outs, nutrition, and why the word “diet” is a dirty word.
What do you say to people who have given up on dieting and exercise because they say that it just doesn’t work?
Your nutrition and exercise goes hand in hand. Don’t call it a diet because people quit diets. Call it a lifestyle change. Diets are trends that come and go but a lifestyle change will stay forever. Set some short- and long-term goals so you have some direction on what you want and an approximation on when you want to get there…no goals and you are just wondering around in circles. Setting goals will make you more accountable.

Jaime has been drinking Shakeology since June 2011 and has lost 17 pounds as of Aug 30, 2011. She has been using the shakes as a meal replacement and is continuing to shed pounds.

What is Shakeology?
Shakeology is a way to simplify your nutrition. Each shake helps you increase energy, become more regular, lose weight, and feel great. It is full of 70 nutrients. Shakeology uses ingredients derived from whole-food sources that deliver the daily vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients your body needs to curb cravings, allowing it to shed stored fat.
What’s your work out routine?
First I must say that I am addicted to working out; not a bad addiction, huh? I have completed 80% of the Beachbody workouts. My favorites I have repeated several times. I usually get a few workouts in a day. I do my own workouts and do a different one each day. After school I work out with a few teachers. We walk or jog the track or do or a fitness DVD from Beachbody. I also work out with my students at work, so I am on the move often. When the weather is not too hot I add stadium workouts, weight training and bridge running.
