Marking this year’s IDAHOT, Blacktown council is holding an unprecedented ceremony.
This Wednesday 17th March, Blacktown Council’s Village Green is hosting a flag raising ceremony at noon to acknowledge International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. This is set to be a historic occasion, as it is the first tie the Pride Flag has been officially raised in Blacktown. Attending the ceremony will be Blacktown’s Gay and Lesbian Liaison Officer, as well as a number of local support groups.
We don’t have to tell you the importance of attending these events to show organisers that they’re worth putting on. We deserve to be recognised, so put this one in your diaries, folks.
