Two day event at Headwaters Park, Fort Wayne, IN
The 18th annual Fort Wayne Pride festival is set for July 25th & 26th at Headwaters Park in downtown Fort Wayne, IN. The two day event will include a Pride March, beer tent, vendor market, food, KidSpace, & live entertainment throughout! Nearly 10,000 people are expected to turn out to celebrate diversity and love.
Friday’s kickoff party features the local music talents of Sum Morz, Cougar Hunter and D.j. Trend. Friday’s hours are from 7pm-midnight with an admission of $3. Children 12 & under are free both days. The entire festival is open to all ages.
Our 3rd annual Pride March steps off at 11:30am Saturday from in front of Headwaters and winds through downtown in time for the start of the festival. All Pride supporters are welcome to join in or watch the March without registration.
Saturday the festival continues from noon-midnight with a $5 admission. The vendor market is open from noon-7pm though some vendors are open the entire festival. KidSpace provides a fun, free space for children under 12, from noon-5pm with games, prizes, crafts and a moonwalk. A cornhole tournament is open from 2-6pm for the first 24 pairs to sign up (free) with a cash prize for the winner.
Saturday’s entertainment includes headliner Dario who has opened for Beyonce, Katy Perry, Destiny’s Child & more. Other performers include Detroit R & B crooner JaRay, Boston native Kristen Ford, Cleveland’s country sweetheart Jordan Genovese as well as local favorites Finding Friday and DJ TAB. Saturday ends with a two hour long drag show with 24 nonstop, high energy acts.
Fort Wayne Pride has other Pride week events including Pride Comedy Night at Snickerz on July 23rd at 8pm and Pride Night @ the Tincaps on Monday, July 28th. The nonprofit hosts year round events including an LGBTA prom, Pride Skate, Rainbow Bowling, 3rd Thursdays & more.
