Don’t miss the newest cabaret show in Australia
The South Australian Cabaret artists behind last year’s Georgia with a G have returned this year with a brilliant new show!
She’ll be Right Love; I sing Piaf was born from the experiences Georgia Darcy and Louise Lawson had while touring their first successful Cabaret last year. The show is based around the Avignon Festival, the largest arts festival in Europe.
Georgia with a G was one of the only Australian shows and the only lesbian show to be performed at this years Avignon Festival in July.
She’ll be Right Love; I sing Piaf is described as a humorous contrast of Australian and French language and culture. The show explores the power of the Arts, the importance of remaining connected to history and each other. It celebrates the beauty of Australia while asking the question “can we do better”?
The cabaret includes an eclectic combination of music, ranging from samples of Edith Piaf classics to contemporary French pop, Australian folk and pop, and also includes two original compositions.
Written in a satirical tone, She’ll be Right Love; I sing Piaf, aims to mock without offending.
She'll Be Right Love, I sing Piaf will be showing at Adelaide's Feast Festival in November and will also be featured in Adelaide Fringe 2016.
