The Hell Shakespeare Co – A mild-mannered theatre company creating exciting new productions of classic and contemporary texts – presents Lady Hamlet
Directed by Kristy McGuire and Dominca Nicholls Lady Hamlet is a transformative adaptation of Shakespeare’s greatest play, the tragedy Hamlet: the heir to the late king, the observed of all observers, the princess of Denmark.
Drawing on themes of politics, power, celebrity, identity, expectations and desire, this recasting highlights discourses of gender, sexuality and mental health.
This modern and dynamic production features swordfights, smartphones, an original score, film-reviews elements and more exciting actors than you can shake a spear at.
Lady Hamlet will be performed at the Fig Tree Theatre, 4 High St. Kensington from the 27thuntil the 30th of June.
