The Stain Return With New Musical Project ‘The Divide’

The Divide captures the contours of a moment as it moves through space.

The Stain are a band of women with huge and improbable ideas who make live art that is a marriage between music and performance, story and song, art and life, real life and dream, and anything in between.

They are not confined by any musical style or convention. Their shows cross-cover many elements, with concepts and popular themes interpreted and reinterpreted for the audience’s viewing and intellectual pleasure.

Now, The Stain has announced their much-anticipated new work, The Divide. Set in an underground world marred by the spoils of life, the show explores the beauty and pain in existence as it fragments through time. The shadow and form these fragments cast reunite to form a different kind of whole.

Subtly moving and tenderly still, The Divide captures the contours of a moment as it moves through space, unhindered by the barriers that would normally hold it in place. Live music and a soundscape cast the ultimate soundtrack. Refined costumery and set design create the tone.

With a performance artist, two dancers, two maidens and an acrobatic queen, The Divide delivers another interesting take on the world.
