Openly Lesbian Musician Mirah To Play Alongside Jherek Bischoff

Tried and true favorites will be performed as well as new music.

Brooklyn songwriter and out lesbian Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn is joining forces with Los Angeles musical polymath Jherek Bischoff to perform at BRIC House on May 5, 2016.

Mirah has been creating independent pop music since the late 90’s and has released over a dozen solo and collaborative recordings. She has been praised for her graceful songwriting, adventuresome recordings, and incredible voice with Pitchfork saying, “her incredible voice—a versatile coo that can flit from low, sultry tones to high, airy falsetto in one breath.”

Jherek Bischoff is bringing his expertise in composing, arranging, producing, and multi-instrumental performance to this collaboration. His work has been hailed as “a collection of lavishly orchestrated pop songs.”

The two performers will perform feature sets with a euphonious string quartet rounding out the band. Expect to hear tried and true favorites from their back catalog along with new music from both of their forthcoming albums.
