Everybody’s gay! Everybody’s female! It was a great project of which to be a part!
SYNOPSIS: Best friends Millie and Frankie both experience breakups from long-term relationships. They take a vacation to forget their troubles and move forward. This comedic story follows the first night at the resort, a drunken conversation imbued with embarrassing flashbacks (dildos, League of Legends, Period Stained Mattress, Long Distance Relationship = LDR) as two friends relive their relationships and meet a few new friends.
MARISA HOOD: (Series creator, "Millie"): Marisa is an East Coast native that made the leap (okay fine, it was a plane ride) to LA about 6 years ago. She currently studies at Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop in the master class and her most recent credits include the horror feature “Mandao of the Dead” currently in distribution, the comedic short “Jesse’s Girl” which can be seen now in multiple festivals and the dramatic short “Charlie” (which she also co-produced) that just had its world premiere. Mostly only wearing the actor hat thus far, “The Post Relationship” is her writing and producing debut but would not like to make it her last. She has a soft, fuzzy spot for subtle and dark comedy, along with deeply character driven pieces. In her spare time, she enjoys burning fall scented candles year round, watching obscene amounts of Law and Order, drinking coffee or wine depending on the time of day, and her cat Lucy.
LAUREN MAHONEY: (Series creator, Director, "Frankie"): Lauren is a freelance editor and videographer based in Los Angeles with experience producing and directing narrative, documentary and commercial content. She has worked in production at Brave New Films, Sandwich Video, and the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art's online degree program. She completed an MFA in directing film at MET Film School in Berlin, Germany in 2017. She is currently developing a short form series discussing a female social worker's personal battle against sex addiction.
