Gathering will provide a forum for students, attorneys, LGBT leaders, and community members to learn about legal protections for LGBT people
Newark, NJ – A free law seminar to outline legal protections for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) people will be held November, 21 at the Rutgers Boyden Hall in Newark. The seminar will be conducted by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, in conjunction with Rutgers University School of Law’s LGBT Caucus, Rutgers LGBTQ & Diversity Resource Center, and the Essex County LGBTQ Advisory Board.
This program has been presumptively approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for two hours of total CLE credit. This course also fulfills the requirements for CLE (including transitional) credit in New York (two credits for professional practice).
