Julia Scotti, 2016 America’s Got Talent comedy fave, is releasing her tour on CD.\r
Recorded in front of a live audience at the The Comedy Underground in Seattle, Washington, Julia Scotti’s "Hello Boys… I’m Back!" is now available for everyone.
"Hello Boys…I’m Back!" is a tour through Julia’s extravagant life, full with cheeky double-and-triple entendres that has the audience rolling. Julia makes the most salient observations on gender, politics, and aging. Her animated impersonations are riotous. Her sarcasm and wit are razor sharp. Somehow, tragic events from childhood feel casually optimistic. As much as the album is of the times, the humor is timeless. Whoever you are, whatever your background, however you identify, if you love comedy, you owe it to yourself to experience a fully-funny individual.
Drawn to comedy from the time she was a child—“Almost like a religious calling”—Julia holds nothing back. She has been described as a “Force of Nature,” and “A cross between Sam Kinison and Mrs. Doubtfire.”
“I like to think people are coming out to my show to have a good time and learn something It’s the BEST job on the planet. I’m like a reporter with laughs. There’s nothing like it. It’s better than sex. I’ve had sex and standing ovations…Standing ovations are better. Young kids laugh at me because I’m like a crazy grandmother. Middle-age people say I remind them of their grandmother, and my age people say it’s so true what I say.”
Julia became the first transgender woman to enter and progress onto being a finalist in the New York-based Ladies of Laughter Competition in 2014. Check out Julia's favorite America's Got Talent performance below:
