Genesis,’ a comedy about lesbian cloning, will star Meredith Baxter and top comics.
America’s favorite TV mom and star of 60 movies for television, Meredith Baxter, has signed on to the crowdfunded project, Genesis, a science fiction farce about the first woman to be giving birth to a clone of herself.
She’ll play Dr. Alix Martel, the leader of a lesbian separatist colony located in an abandoned Jewish resort in the Catskills. Genesis also stars Robert Romanos, best known for his role as Mike Damone in the cult favorite, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He’ll play Boyd Petersen, leader of the far Right and Dr. Martel’s nemesis.
The cast also includes well-known Lesbian comedians Suzanne Westenhoefer and Dana Goldberg. It will be directed by first time feature director, Audrey Evans who also penned the script. Production is slated for late March.
