From Burlesque to Drag, Performance art to Illusion come celebrate all things adventurous & unorthodox with pioneering artists & renegades bearing offerings that can, and often do, reshape and expand views. Support independent artists highlighting their proud history and ongoing fight for equality and recognition by the mere definition of their performance offering.
Showcasing both renowned & emerging Fringe Faboriginal +Torres Strait Islander performance artists from across the country come together in an eclectic, satirical, poignant variety cabaret evening like no other.
Destiny Haz Arrived– a Widjibul Bundjalung Queen DIVA Nominated, from Northern Rivers of NSW, who has lead the First Australians iconic Mardi Gras Parade float & performed with the deadly Jessica Mauboy.
Juanita Eleanor Duncan– a proud Gamilaraay yinar from North West NSW & Central Coast most recently toured festivals across the country, performed at the Sydney opera house, MCA & Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the amazing Hot Brown Honey. A Coastie local, having graduated from NAISDA in 2010.
Jayla Shae Davey is a Miriwoong actor, producer and creative artist from Kununurra WA, Waapa graduate currently based in Sydney, personal performance work is based in sovereignty and autonomy of the body in relation to First Nations culture and queerness movement combating colonialism. Seen hosting in Beyond Production’s Wow That’s Amazing and performing in Koori Gras.
Neville Williams-Boney is a proud Wiradjuri man from Wagga Wagga New South Wales. From ballroom dancer to Musical Theatre, Neville is a part of the musical community, both in Wagga Wagga and Gosford 2019 NAISDA graduate and Chairman’s Award winner.
Chel Torres- Torres Strait Islander, Sydney based artist, Experimentation across forms from storytelling and spoken word to dance, drag and performance art, visible on the indigenous lgbt circuit, Koori Gras, First Nations Rainbow, Klub Koori.
Jojo Zaho– Newcastle’s naughtiest Novacastrian & one of your favourite Black Divas. Competed in the inaugural Miss First Nation 2017, taking home Miss Photogenic among other titles. She’s appeared in interviews for SBS, ABC, & Triple J.
Your Hostess with the mostess Nana Miss Koori- Born in Sydney, Gadigal gay male from the Eora Nation with strong connections to the La Perouse and Nowra Communities. Aboriginal Drag Performer-Artist shows with Mardi Gras+ Carriage Works to co-curator and co-MC of Black Nulla.
