Arthur Moon

Avant-pop artist Arthur Moon recently released the track “Wait a Minute” which is a dizzying and inventive tune slightly reminiscent of The Dirty Projectors and tUnE-yArDs. The accompanying video uses footage of past New York City Pride Parades and Dyke Marches set against vintage advertising and industrial images.
Truly different and introspective, “Wait a Minute” takes a deep dive into New York City social movements while celebrating pride culture. Composer Lora-Faye Ashuvud is the mastermind behind Arthur Moon. Ashuvud said the lyrics are inspired by New York and its’ history of resistance and the legacy of the people who fought to make the city a safe place for young queer people.

Lesbian rocker Sarah Rudy has a new project out with pal Whit Alexander under the name Hello June. “Mars” is the lead single off of their upcoming release aptly named Hello June due out September 28.
Hello June is a follow up to their debut EP Spruce released in 2017. “Mars” is loaded with guitar hooks and appropriately trippy, expansive effects that conjure images of the Red Planet.
Nikki Borodi

…And now for something totally “Lezbionic.” No really, that’s the name of the single from Nikki Borodi, an acclaimed acrobat and musician. Written “as an antidote to the disappearing L,” “Lezbionic” takes listeners on a journey through the life of the often-invisible femme lesbian. Borodi shares that people often think she and her male acrobatic partner are in a relationship, so she finds herself having to come out again and again.
“Lezbionic” is her answer to those who question her sexuality. The video, co-directed by Brenda Schumacher is colorful, fun, and yes, acrobatic. It would have been perfect on The L Word soundtrack.
Lindsay White

Lindsay White is an independent folk artist embarking on a U.S. tour in support of her 2017 release Lights Out. The album debuted at number two on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter charts and earned her the title of Best Singer-Songwriter at the 2018 San Diego Music Awards.
Prior to going solo, White was in The Lovebirds with her ex-girlfriend and band mate, Veronica May. Another proud femme, White has also been frequently misidentified as straight.
Commenting on recent shows, White said, “For the first time in my career as a touring artist, I’ve had control over how my identity unfolds over the course of the concert.” That idea empowers White and she is looking forward to using that power for good and to raise awareness around LGBTQ issues.

Elizabeth Wyld

Elizabeth Wyld is a queer-identified singer-songwriter hailing from Brooklyn, NY. Wyld recently released two songs, “Strange Love” and “Child.”
“Child” is a sweet and catchy tip-of-the-hat to new love, cute crushes, and that feeling when someone makes you feel like the most real version of yourself. The video is pretty darn cute, too.

God-Des, formerly of iconic duo God-Des and She has embarked on a solo career and recently released her premiere single and video for “The Weekend.” You may have heard it at the local gay bar as it made Spotify’s Editorial Pride Playlist.
The perfect jam for a night out, God-Des brings the beat on this hot track and it will have you dancing in no time.
Mercy Bell
Mercy Bell is a queer Nashville-based Americana singer-songwriter and she just released two new singles “Home” and “No Prayers.” These singles are the first new releases since her 2011 album All Good Cowboys.
Her single “Home” was listed in Rolling Stone as one of the ten best country and Americana songs of the week back in June. “Home” showcases her soulful voice, with swoon-worthy harmonies, and introspective lyrics about what it takes to get by. We will definitely be hearing more from her.
Kerchief

Kerchief, the solo project of former Vanity Theft member Brittany Hill has been gaining traction with the recently released the single and video for “Erase Me.”
The band is prepping for a new album due out later this year so “Erase Me” will have to tide us over in the meantime. It is an angsty, anthemic rocker that fans both new and old will love.
