Meet Gayle. She’s an LGBTIQ+ beer and cider, launching ahead of the Adelaide Feast Festival. In coalition with the launch, Gayle is also officially sponsoring the 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
“Our aim is not only to produce a great beer and cider but to ‘pay it forward’ through sponsorship and payment in kind to the LGBTIQ community” said lesbian co-creator of Gayle, Virginia Buckworth
Where is it made?
GAYLE is a homegrown beer brewed and produced in South Australia by McLaren Vale’s own, Swell Brewery. The cider features pink lady apples from the Adelaide Hills, so it’s all very South Australian.
What’s special about it?
GAYLE has been brewed and branded with a powerful message, that will continue to encourage the conversation around marriage equality and inclusivity and keep our national conversation about equality and inclusion front-of-mind.
Do a percentage of the sales revenue support any LGBTIQ programs?
Gayle is sponsor of major events (both Feast Festival and Mardi Gras) and The Equality Campaign in Melbourne.
You’ll be able to crack on to Gayle at the Feast festival, and at Melbourne’s Marriage Equality Street party next Wednesday.
