Abbie Cornish will narrate the couple’s year long adventure.
“Out and Around”, a new documentary, will premiere on Logo on Monday August 17. The documentary follows one lesbian couple’s year long journey to discover and capture the changes happening within LGBT communities in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nepal, Philippines, and Taiwan.
Jennifer Chang and Lisa Dazols spent 342 days conducting interviews and creating profiles of LGBT leaders across the world.
Pamela Post, head of Logo Original Programming, has said “The stories that Jenni and Lisa captured are a beautiful and artful look at the common humanity that transcends borders and unites us all.”
Jenni and Lisa vowed to follow a life of adventure and the results can be seen in “Out and Around”. The documentary combines video-journal footage, interviews with global LGBT leaders, and the couple’s ownlove story to create a story of hope that every person can relate to.
Jenni, also acting as Executive Producer, stated that “This film not only tells about the changes happening in this historical time, but the changes that happened in my own family as I came out. I wanted to travel and connect with other people of color like myself. I discovered my new global family.”
Brett Peters, Communications Director for the It Gets Better Project, said about the partnership “We’re excited to once again partner with Logo to reach LGBT youth with a message of hope. By watching Jenni and Lisa’s tremendous journey, we are able to see the potential for our own adventures in a quest to be our authentic selves.”
“Out and Around” premiers Monday August 17, 2015 at 9 PM ET/CT on Logo.
