Muslim Women & Girls To Hold Annual National Convention

The Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Australia will hold their 35th Annual National Convention in one of Australia’s largest mosque in western Sydney.

The event will bring together over 1,000 Muslim women and girls from across the national to participate in activities including academic and sports competitions whilst learning how to spread the message of peace, love, respect and loyalty to Australia.

The National President of Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia, Abida Mubashar said:

“The purpose of this convention is to promote the peaceful teachings of Islam and understand the roles and responsibilities of Australian Muslim women in our society. Islam teaches us that the responsibility of building peaceful societies and nations depends on the contribution of women, in their roles as daughters, wives and mothers. If each one of us as women realise our potential and fulfil our roles within society to the best of our abilities, then no doubt we can nurture peaceful societies.”

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Auxiliary of Australia is an auxiliary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community whose motto is ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’. The auxiliary are noted for their active engagement in social welfare initiatives, philanthropic contributions. From raising funds for charities including Red Cross Australia and Humanity First, to donating hand-made or homeware goods to shelters, old age homes, and community organisations helping those in need—members of the auxiliary spend immense time and effort in serving humanity.
