Crowdfunding will help make Catfeinated a reality in wine country!
Cat cafes continue to grow in popularity around the world. They combine the best parts of traditional cafes with a place to hang out with cats.
Laura DeWald and her girlfriend KC love cats, and with Laura’s dream to open a cat shelter and KC’s 8 years of barista experience, a cat cafe is the perfect business in Petaluma, California.
Laura and KC are taking the concept of a cat cafe one step further. While many cats are permanent residents at cafes around the world, Catfeinated will also house adoptable cats. By working with a local shelter to foster cats at the cafe, potential adopters will be able to spend more time with the cats in a more relaxed environment than a typical shelter.
Catfeinated will not only be a cafe. Also offered will be yoga classes, art classes, and movie nights. Through Laura’s current job as a web developer, she was inspired to include a co-working space with free WiFi for people to come study, work or read while relaxing with the cats.
Laura and KC have a set goal of $35,000 and have raised $6,697 so far.
