Comments
The story is iconic and the performances are compelling, but the portrayal of Hedy as a queer homicidal monster whose obsession with her straight roommate leads to murder contributes to the canon of Regan and Clinton era lesbian-phobic films. While screenwriter Don Roos is gay, it feels wrong to give this one a gold star.
