RISING STARS

Underbelly Festival, London

Following on from last year’s sell out night, Pride In London's Rising Stars are back for one night only with another show which promises to be even more entertaining than back in 2017. With music, dance, comedy, acrobatics, bands and even a choir, this soirée puts London's LGBTQ+ community centre stage.

NAFF DRAG

Hackney Showroom, London

This one is dedicated to the outcasts of homonormativity! Serving up trans gorgeousness, queer performance, feminis*, working class, fat brilliance …with absolutely no contestants from Drag Race on the line up! Starring Lipsinkers, Harry Clayton Wright, LJ Marles, Unskinny Bop, Scottee and a very secret superstar guest DJ and special guest performer!

Shortly after midnight Scottee will be inviting other sober queers to join him in the VIP Sober Lounge for a cuppa and a buffet of biscuits. Naff Drag is for those of us too weird, too fat, too queer, too faggy for mainstream post-parade events. It's what modern children call a safe space — or what Scottee calls, "A nice knees up."

POKE DOES PRIDE

Kommunity, Newcastle upon Tyne

REJOICE! The north east's coolest queer club is back at Kommunity on the 21 of July, meaning there's now an alternative to being scalped £50 for the main event before heading to the scene bars out of nothing more than weary obligation. Instead, POKE is about two things: 1) BRILLIANT MUSIC – provided by POKE, and 2) BRILLIANT PEOPLE – provided by you, lovely readers.

The team want this POKE to be one of the most colourful yet and, as Pride is all about expressing yourself freely, don't be afraid to shower yourself in glitter/dye your hair/paint your face/wear that mental shirt that you once bought online when you were drunk and have never actually worn, etc, then get ready to strike a pose or five for our utterly lovely photographer, before attacking the dance floor with gay abandon til the early hours of Sunday morning. [DIVA: We're in.]

DRAG BRUNCH

Cunard House, Liverpool

To celebrate the wonderfully colourful and all-inclusive event that is Liverpool Pride, Cunard House will be opening its doors for Drag Brunch! Serving up tuck shop realness for all the family, with a fabulously camp event, DIVAs, queens, and everyone in between, are invited to leave their inhibitions at the door for a dazzling drag brunch that's sure to go down in queer history. Plus, to mark partner Signature Living’s 10th birthday, they're offering drag brunch guests the chance to enter a once in a lifetime competition to win a £10K wedding at Cunard House for a same sex couple. Ooo-er!
